An artistic journey spanning over 15 years
I am a Palestinian visual artist, born and raised in Jerusalem - a city layered with history, memory, and quiet presence. Growing up among its old doors, worn stones, and the traces of displaced villages, I developed an early sensitivity to space, texture, and the stories held within places.
My connection to art began there - not as a choice, but as a response. The details of the environment shaped how I see: the rhythm of streets, the weight of silence, the way light settles on surfaces. This naturally led me to study architecture, where my interest in structure and form became intertwined with emotion and memory.
While my roots are grounded in Jerusalem, my work is not confined to it. Instead, it acts as a lens through which I interpret the world. I am drawn to the overlooked and the familiar - animals, plants, landscapes, and aging elements like doors and structures - capturing what they hold beyond their surface.
I have been practicing art since childhood, and it remains an essential part of how I process and communicate. Each piece is an exploration of perception, of connection, of presence. Through my work, I aim to offer a way of seeing and feeling that invites others to engage with the world more closely, more quietly, and more deeply.
