Jaffa Oranges

In this painting, I present the Jaffa orange as more than a subject it is a carrier of memory. Held in sharp focus against a blurred background, it claims the space with clarity and intention. Once, this orange placed Palestine at the forefront of global export, carrying its name across the world. Here, it remains as a symbol of that presence condensed into a single form that still speaks, even as everything around it fades.
